Problem enabling servicedesk after migration

Glend Gjermeni April 5, 2018

Hello,

We migrated to a new server (previously hosted on Kubernetes), using the guide at https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver073/migrating-jira-applications-to-another-server-861253107.html. Jira version was 7.6.0 before and now it is 7.8.2

At first, we didn't do a database migration, so I only migrated the home folder, which already had the right config to the existing DB, and ran the jira .bin installer. Things worked right except servicedesk, we would get this logs when trying to enable it: https://gist.github.com/glend/ba41c7eb96a8ee4ee61479bf140f4f8f

Today, we migrated the database as well, and redid an installation with jira.bin installer which includes servicedesk (earlier it was without). Now the servicedesk plugins are all disabled, see https://gist.github.com/glend/1dfa3cee557f6df07fa434ea2b534f3b and

This is the best practice on SD migration.

  1. Install Service desk by uploading supported OBR into JIRA Core.
  2. Provide a trial license.
  3. Create a test Service desk type project with sample data
  4. Then proceed with the backup import.

Still if you face the issue, please connect to the Support.
