Unable to create issues or view board for a "Project Management" project.

I have a new account with a single Kanban project and have tried creating a second "Project Management" project.

The first project I can view the board and create issues but for the second I am receiving errors where the board doesn't load and I can't create issues.

Hi Cael,

We would need some log errors thrown to be able to deduce the root cause of the problem here.

If you are the JIRA admin, can you do the following:

  1. Go to System > Logging and profiling page
  2. add some text to the field there and press mark.
  3. Reproduce the problem
  4. Generate a support zip from JIRA.
  5. unzip the support zip and look for the text you added in step #2
  6. Now look through the logs from that point downwards for any error relating to create issue.
  7. copy said error here so we can see what JIRA lists as a cause.

This helps us ensure we are pointing you in the right direction.

If you are not the admin, approach your admin to help with all steps but step 3.

Looking forward to your reply.

In the meantime here is a possible cause:

We will still need the logs to tell if this is the same cause for you.

Hi Ismael,

The confluence link helped.

Was able to fix the problem by adding issue types into the project.
