Task Tracking Project Board- How do I release the items in Done?

I set this project up as a task tracking project. Normally you have the option to "release" items in the Done column in the other board types, but I cannot figure out how to release the done tickets without deleting them one by one (which we don't want to do). We want to have them in a release so we can go back and look at them if needed, but not have them in the board.

Only Kanban boards have the "release" function (or agility if you enable it for them).

Core boards simply drop "done" issues when they've been there for a fortnight.
