Resolution is empty when resolution is hidden in field configuration

JörgS January 16, 2017

In the las workflow step I set the resolution with a postfunction to "successfull" or "not successfull". At the same time I don't want to show the resolution field to the user. Therefore I hide the resolution field in the field  configuration.

When I want to search for issues with resolution "not successfull" I don't get a result. If I "show" the resolution field in my field configuration again, I get a result.

Don't understand why JIRA filter results are depended on the visibility of fields?

Would like to know your opinion.

It is better to modify browse screen instead field configuration.

When you hide field into field configuration you hide it totally.

What namely do you want to achive?

Indeed, the point of hiding a field is to hide it from the users.  So searches don't find it.
