Modifying user directories [JIRA]

tim wilkinson November 23, 2016

Hi - we have a JIRA installation that has been configured for an LDAP user directory. The issue is, when it was configured, it was setup to query a specific OU in our environment, which means (from what I can tell) people outside of the OU cannot get access to JIRA.

We'd now like to open the access a bit, perhaps to the whole directory. What's the best method to do this? I can add another directory but wondering if I can just edit the existing directory (perhaps removing the line pointing to specific OU?).There does not seem to be a way to edit the directory config via the Administration page (Admin>User Management>User Directory).

I've noticed our Confluence server is not configured to point to any specific OU so can compare the directory config connection.

Cheers,

Tim
