Include title of parent task in subtask emails

Denis Suckau June 3, 2016

Hello,

we structure our issues in subtasks as following for example:

  • Design
  • Implementation
  • Approval

When somebody now works on subtasks "Implementation" or "Approval", you only get emails with subject "Approval" for example. It would be nice to include the title of the parent task in the subject, for example:

"User Management > Approval"

So we would get more information on which topic somebody is working by emails. Is this possible?

I've been using the JIRA Quick SubTasks Plugin lately. Wrote a small piece about it here.

It will allow you to create subtasks from a simple text list but also to automatically prepend the parent task to the beginning of the summary.

So this could be worth checking out.

Any questions, let  me know.

As far as I understand it would add the title of the parent task to the title of the subtask. This would be no option for us. But thank you.
