How to assign tasks so that they appear only on a particular board

I have a project called as SAS . Under the SAS project I create two separate boards as board1 and board2. When I create a task  can I assign it to a particular board . So that different tasks are visible in different boards.

Please help me understand if this can be done and how (what are the options)?

No, you do not "assign tasks to boards".  Boards select issues from your JIRA.

For an issue to appear on a board, it simply needs to match the board filter.  Have a look at your board configuration, that will show you the filter.  Then you just need to make sure your tasks match the filter.
