Sandesh Shetty Community Leader Jan 29, 2019

In issues, why two options are given as activity and history? What are the important difference between them?

In History you get detailed information about changes to the issue objects but not for example added comments. Activity is more user friendly flow of things that happen. Simply check one of the open issues where something have happen and compare both. You should notice all the differences.

Hello,

Activity is more "readable" and provides an RSS feed you can subscribe to, so you can integrate it into any other tool.

History is the changes made to an issue.  Activity is (almost all of) those, plus related events that don't go into the history but might be relevant.

Hi,

I totally agree with previous replies.

What's also important, on History tab you can find information about original values of changed fields, which can be helpful when you are monitoring given issue.
