is it possible to install jira and jira service desk together from the cli?

im trying to build my jira environment with a script and it needs both jira and jira service desk. is this possible and if so, how?

If you use the Jira Service Desk installer to do the baseline install as part of your script, yes, it will install both.

That's harder, as there's no installer for both together.  Your script will have to choose one to install (I usually recommend Jira Software), and then add the other to it after installation.

I'm not aware of a "simple" way to do that, I've always just logged into the UI and clicked to add it under the manage-applications tab.
