Sub-tasks should be created in the same status that the parent is

How to set up with Script Runner (maybe via Listener?) or in another way: if sub-task is created it gets same status that the parent is.

I'd create a Scriptrunner postfunction on the initial transition of the sub-task (e.g. create-transition).

The script would do this:

If type==subtask then get status of parent issue and transition the issue (sub-task) to the same status. That should be possible, but I have not yet written a script that transitions an issue.

You'll have to be careful however. The sub-task needs to have all the same status as the parents, so best to make sure they use the same workflow.

Thanks! Maybe you could share how exactly your script looks like?
