Status bar instead of drop down

does anyone know how I could have a normal Bar of status options instead of a drop down menu?

You will need to change the jira propertie, follow this link

Look at the "To change the number of transition buttons from the default of two:" title.

Set it to 0 to never have any workflow drop-down, but be aware that you get a very clumsy looking actions bar once you have more than 4 or 5 transitions available.
