Slack/Jira integration: How do I post comments to issues, from Slack?

In Slack, using the slash command `/jira`, how do I comment on an issue?  I would think it would be something like `/jira PROJ-12 My comment for the issue`

Hello Chris,

Check this out, https://jirioslackapp.com/jirio-jira-slack-integration-app-slack/

Slack doesn't have a Jira issue comment option as far as iI know.

Thanks.   Jirio looks like it is more full-featured.

YOU DON'T NEED ANYTHING THIRD PARTY

  • Create a private channel with only you in (in slack)
  • Type @Jira in this channel
  • You will be asked to select a project and channel
  • If you are not asked to select a project type "dhil_jira"
  • Once you have selected a project select connect
  • now type "/jira <ticket id>"
  • The ticket will be shown and there will be 3 dots (ellipses next to it "...")
  • Click the dots, one of the options is a comment

Hey @Chris  stratejos - the intelligent assistant for tech teams. stratejos lets you do the basics add, comment, update, search Jira from Slack, and a lot more besides.

Commenting works exactly like you describe `/stratejos PROJ-12 My comment for the issue`

hi @Chris Just wanted to make sure you know we also offer this functionality and a lot more with Jira Integration+

Thanks @Nick Cron I'll take a look.
