I was trying to create user story within an Epic but accidentally the issue type got selected as Initiative and now I'm not getting any option to change the type to user story
Hi @Diksha ,
If the steps suggested by @Vishwas or @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- are still not working, probably look through the project permission scheme and identity if you have the correct permissions to move issue.
see documentation: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jiracoreserver073/moving-an-issue-861257345.html
Kind Regards
Utkarsh
Hey @Diksha
Welcome to Atlassian Community !!
To change issue type you have to perform "Move" operation within same project. in the next step it will be asked to change project and issue type. Please change only issue type to "Story". And complete the process.
Hope this helps !!
Regards,
Vishwas
