Hello,
is it possible to change the database compatibility level of the jira sql-database?
Actually we use level "SQL Server 2014 (120)" and want to change to "SQL Server 2019 (150)".
Thanks Marcus
Hi, Marcus!
It's best to check Supported Platforms for your version of Jira before changing SQL Server's database compatibility level.
When you visit the page, you'll see a dropdown in the top right that shows Data Center and Server <version number> - select your version of Jira, and then scroll down the page to the Microsoft SQL Server table.
You can then check the list of supported SQL Server versions and confirm whether the version whose compatibility level you'd like to switch to is listed there.
In the case of SQL Server 2019 support was added in Jira 8.17, so if you're running Jira 8.17 or later you can change your compatibility level to 150.
Regards,
(another) Marcus
