simultaneous editing in a global space

Chris Seraidaris February 25, 2014

Can several authors access the same page in a Global Space at the same time? If not, what will B experience, if A is currently working in the same Global Space.

In other words, what is the best practice for 2 or more writers making changes to the same global space?

Thanks!

Hi Chris,

Confluence will always do its best to ensure that nobody's changes are lost when multiple editors are working simultaneously on a page, and recently we also added in-app notifications to warn other authors that someone else is editing the page. You can read about Confluence's behaviour for your version by editing the following URL and changing the "DOC" section for "CONF<VERSION>", (for example Confluence 4.3 would be CONF43 and Confluence 5.1 would become CONF51 etc): https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Concurrent+Editing+and+Merging+Changes

All the best,
John
