creater of a page shall NOT automatically become a watcher

Hello everybody,

we use forms in confluence that allow our partners to hand in requests. The input from these forms is automatically processed to create a new wiki page which is then edited internally.

The problem is that this new page automatically has its creater in the watch list. So for each edit of this page an e-mail goes out to its creater.

Is it possible to prevent this? Is there a setting that prevents the "added by..." person to automatically become a watcher?

I know that the person can simply be erased from the watch list but with expected numbers of some hundred requests per day we are searching for ways to optimize our workflow.

Thanks

Unfortunately, Confluence does not provide a feature in the UI to disable the autowatch. But there's a workaround for this, explained in the improvement request: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-22070
