cacerts - Self-signed certificate - JIRA/Confluence on the same server

Jens Knobloch May 18, 2015

Sorry, for not questioning. I had a problem with my credentials.

My situation:

On a stage server I have two instances: JIRA and Confluence.

However, they have different domains.

So, I tried to install the application link like J <-> C, but it doesn't work properly.

I used to add the certificate the SSL plugin (J and C). But I need to add the certs for both to the same cacerts.

Can I do this?

What is the right way to do this?

Hey Jens,

Since you did not describe your question, from the title I would imagine you're facing a error related to the SSL certificate that is not trusted by your application when linking two applications. For example, your JIRA uses SSL and you are not able to create an link between your Confluence and JIRA.

If that is the case you might want to have a look at this KB: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONFKB/Unable+to+Connect+to+SSL+Services+due+to+PKIX+Path+Building+Failed

Otherwise please describe what you want to know so we can help you. smile
