Why can't I add inline comments? My comments go to the bottom of the page.

When trying to review a Confluence page, where my comment should show up i get a notice that my comment can't be added as an inline comment and it will be added at the bottom of the page. This makes the review difficult to track for teh person having to make the corrections. Any ideas why ?

Seems like the problem occurs when i highlight something within a table (actually seems like a table within a table). I was allowed to do it in a simple table or for simple text.

using Confluence 7.2.0

tried with Chrome Version 80.0.3987.132 and Internet Explorer 11.1246.17134.0 update version 11.0.170

Hi,

inline comments cannot be entered everywhere inside a page content. I came over this, too, but it's a known limitation.
