What is the best way to swap or replace a parent page?
The current parent page cannot be edited. The information is new and different. I have the new parent page ready. The current parent page has several layers of child pages and documentation.
How can I just swap or replace the current parent page with the new page—and keep the current hierarchy—without having to move all of the child pages and content under the new parent page?
There is no "swap", you will have to move all the child pages from their current location to the new page.
This isn't too hard, you can do it from the space admin -> content -> tree tab, with click and drag (grandchild pages will remain under their parents that they move)
