What is "Control port"

I did some researches but I didn't find what the "Control port" is using for. (TCP port)

Can someone help me ? (Sorry for the dumb question)

The main listening port is where the web application is published (example: http://example.com:1990/confluence, where 1990 is the port). Webapps are usually deployed on 80, because you can then remove it from the URL.
The control port is used by Tomcat (the web server). Tomcat's utilities can use it to start/stop/monitor the instance.
