I have a user who has all the AD Groups we give for access-
On space permissions she has ALL permissions checked off
On restricted pages for the space she has "view/edit" permissions on all she needs
We tried system updates and clearing cache
We tried using "E" on the keyboard
We are now at the point where the edit button is just missing all together, any insight would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
You've done the right steps. I'm impressed you even tried the "e" key! I've tried that one before but it never works if the page doesn't have the edit button. :(
"AD Groups for access" is a clue that usually makes me think she'd need to logout/login. If you've cleared the cache, then she'd have had to login again. But, for giggles, have her actually try logging out then logging back in.
Watch her do it. Users don't always know what they're doing or tell you what actually happened. For all you know, she could be in another website altogether.
I'd look up her user in Confluence. Look at the groups that appear there (not just in Active Directory). Also look at her first and last login dates and any failed logins.
Make sure the Confluence Directories are in the proper order. Sounds like the LDAP directory should come first. Make sure the Internal directory is not first.
Try a different browser. If you're using IE, uninstall it, salt and burn it, bury the ashes in the Mariana Trench, say a chant, and move on.
If you have ScriptRunner for Confluence, impersonate her as a user, and see if it happens for you, too.
Otherwise, maybe it just wasn't meant to be, or contact Atlassian.
@WW Thank you very much for all your help! Going to try and connect with them to try the full log out and log back in!
PS: IE has been burned and thrown in the Mariana Trench !!
