Undo command is not working

I pasted a table into a section of Confluence on which I was working but instead of appearing as subtext it populated as a full-blown table on top of everything that was in the workplace.  Overwrote everything back to mid-February.  I tried "Control-Z" but nothing works.  I closed the workspace without saving changes and reopened.  It goes back to where I was before pasting the table but when I try to edit and add new comments it reverts to the over-written piece. 

At the top of the page it says there are unsaved changes, which was the point.  Nothing in that text can be clicked on. 

This is time-critical.  Any suggestions will be most appreciated.
