Two bullets rendered

John Phillips August 14, 2013

I am attempting to define a multi-level list, but using the fancy-bullets macro to have a different bullet image at each level. The issue is that Confluence appears to consider the insersion of the macro as the end of the list, so when you start the next level of the list, two bullets are rendered instead of one with a double indent.

{fancy-bullets:!folder-open_bullet.jpg}
* List Level 1
{fancy-bullets}
{fancy-bullets:!categorisation_bullet.jpg!}
** list Level 2
** List Level 2
** List Level 2
{fancy-bullets}

Interestingly, if you just put a line in Wiki markup using

** Bullet Point

The same output is seen.

Hi John,

Honestly I didn't see this issue before. I believe this must be something with the adaptavist plugin fancy bullets.

I recommend to get in touch with the plugin vendor as this might be some bug with the plugin ;)

Regards,

Rodrigo

Hi Rodrigo,

I can reproduce a similar issue without using magic bullets, so it's something that Confluence is doing. If you add the following Wiki markup you'll see the same thing. I would expect this would start a list at level 2, but what it does is render a level one bullet, then the level two bullet. How it looks on the screen varies depending on your browser.

** This will render two bullets
