Suggest search for anonymous user?

in my installation of Confluence-5.2.3 the anonymous user does not get suggest search results (i.e. no suggest layer coming up because the request result is 401 forbidden).

I understand that the "GET recent" call will result in 401, but the "GET search" should not.

However, the search itself correctly works. Is there a permission setting for the suggest-function or is this a bug?

Hi there,

I believe you have hit into this known bug. The new Quick Navigation plugin which is used by the confluence search does not allow annoymous access which is why the annoymmous user do not get search suggestion.

I suggest you to vote and watch this bug report for the latest update. To show my support, I have also cast a vote on this bug report.

Hope this helps!

Kind Regards,
Jing Hwa
