Storing Large PSD files in Confluence

Miles Readman October 22, 2013

I am looking to see if anyone has used confluence as a file diposatory for large file types such as psd's. Currently our design department is using Sugarsync to store large psd files, version these files and communicate across our various locations globally. We currently user JIRA and Confluence as our main communication tools across all our other departments and I am looking to integrate the design component into this.

Confluence has a great versioning system and links with JIRA which is great for linking our components together. Has anyone had any experience with storing large psd files on confluence? is this something that is not recommended?

We were able to get Confluence to work with large files, but had to do a bit of tweaking to prevent lockups: https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/125579/using-confluence-as-a-large-file-sharing-platform
