Slow Response while editing large document

Edited

We have a very large document in one of our spaces which is over 11000 lines (about 200 pages) and over 1000 versions.  It has many  code blocks, attachments etc.  When editing anything in the document, it becomes very slow. The response can take minutes.

Is this because the document is too large?  Should the document be split into two?  Everything else in confluence works perfectly.  It is only this one large document that is having an issue.  Especially editing code blocks.

Hello @Infrastructure , yes, I have seen real sluggishness with long docs with lots of code blocks.

I would strongly suggest that you break you doc up into sections. I have seen issues where at somepoint you can't save the page. So better to avoid disaster now!

Thanks, Bill that's what I figured.
