Ok this issue is extreamly annoying. I've had it for a while now but its driving me crazy. The issue appears to be when the image is larger than the viewable area (hense the reason for wanting to select it and resize it)
1. Start a new page
2. take a screenshot
3. Paste it into the page (chrome)
4. Single left click on the image keeping you mouse still
The page jumps all over the place and you end up dragging the image into a different area
Also on smaller images if the cursor is above the image it struggles to select it. You need to select it a few times before it shows the toolbar.
Is there a way to fix this?
wow this sounds annoying indeed.
i've never experiences such behaviour before...will other browsers act the same?
what about Firefox or Safari?
i use both of them...no problems adding (large) images and select a smaller preview
i just tried on confluence 5.1.2...
using firefox 20.0 to upload & insert an image (3000x3000) and left klick on it to select a smaller view.
everything works fine...

Ok it does look like its ok in Firefox. Shame i prefer Chrome :)
Looks like i am running an older version though (4.3). Can anyone confirm the issue is fixed in 5.1.2 +
