Hi,

Sidebar doesn't show on iPads/iPhones for our website. The weird think is the show/hide icon on the top bar doesn't exist for iPads.

I have testes on Safari and sidebar hide/show icon exist for me so the sidebar itself.

How can I fix it for iPads/iPhones or other mobile devices?

Cheers,

Selcuk

Thanks Bob.

One of the major reason the external development company suggested/implied us Confluence was its compatibility with iPads and iPhones.

What a shame!

It is a great product but simply it's not for us.

Even though the bug Bob filed is closed, the problem still exists in 5.4.3 Documentation theme.

I cannot recommend that our customers use Confluence mobile without the navigation, and it's not feasible to retrofit embedded navigation on every one of thousands of pages - plus that would really clutter up the web version.

Are there any other solutions out there?

Thanks for any hope, -Dee

Hi,

I had the same problem and this is my workaround:

- Created one page only containing the index. i did this with Markup language using the Markup makro plugin. Looks like:

* [Start]

** [Sub1]

*** [subsub1]

*** [subsub2]

...

- Made a template with one section in the very top containing a link to my previously created index page

- Built up all pages from this template source

Now even mobiles have access to the index from every page and the index can be managed in one single page. Hope this helps

cheers

This is disappointing

Here's a workaround for Confluence 3.5x (it's not great, but it does offer navigation)

From your ipad, select Tools > View in Hierarchy

(or Browse > Pages > Tree)

That will display the tree view, from where you can navigate around the space.
