Search macro in confluence

Avinash July 25, 2012

I use a simple search macro in my page. It works fine but when it populates the result it automatically displays the wiki markup lines under each search items found. Is there a way to eliminate this? limiting it to only relevant text and not the markup.

Thanks!

Hi Avinash,

I believe there is no way from inside Confluence to accomplish that. I could only find these specifications for the Search Macro: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONF34/Search+Macro

The only configurations that you can do is to limit some other settings like the space you want to search about, the number of search results you want to appear, but I couldn't find how to change the way the result is shown.

You may have to create a user macro for searching in Confluence: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Writing+User+Macros

I'll keep this question open for other users so if someone has any other idea they could help you :)

Cheers,

Rodrigo
