Search in Confluence

I have created a file list and deleted a files form that page however the deleted files are still searchable, how is it possible and how to fix that? I have also renamed files in the file list and when I search for these documents I have the renamed file plus the old one. Please help.

Clarisse, the file and its contents should not be searchable after the next time Confluence builds the searcg index. You can trigger this manually by using the Rebuild function in the Confluence admin panel.

To get to this, open the panel and select "Content Indexing" under Administration. Then click the Rebuild button in the Search Index section.
