Howdy, y'all,
We're currently using Confluence Server 5.10 (but plan on updating soon), as well as RefinedTheme 5.1.11. One of our categories (collection of spaces) contains information that we'd like to restrict access to - however, it's to an uncontrolled group (external reps, agents, etc.), that we wouldn't want the end-users visiting Confluence to have access to. For example, reseller portal information, demo instructions, etc.
Is there a built-in way to restrict access to such categories/spaces, e.g. with a password/login? These users wouldn't need the ability to comment, add pages, or really anything other than view these spaces - it's essentially just a segregated set of information.
I'm thinking that just setting up another user account specifically for this uncontrolled group (e.g. an "agent" user), and setting its only additional permissions to read these segregated spaces. However, I don't know if there's a better way to do this.
Thanks!
I did find this, but I'm unsure if this is the only method of accomplishing this.
