Possible to limit user access to only one specific field within a page?

We have users accepting our requirements via our tool, looking at confluence, is it possible to limit user access so that a user type can only have write access to one specific field (Status macro and using handy macro)?

No, Confluence can't do that, it's designed for full collaboration, not limiting people.  Either you can edit a page or you can't.

You can kludge it a bit.  Put the macro on a separate page that the user can edit, and then use include or excerpt-include on the main page which they can't edit.  But it does require them to know where to go to edit it.
