Need to cause Link to open in a new window.

I have a customer that wishes to create links in his page that open up in a new window instead of overlaying the current window.

As the admin, I do not wish to change this behavior for all customers.  Thus I do not wish to change the configuration.   Is there any way to add code to his page or his links that will do the job?

Thanks for the answers.   I will look at the plug-in.  I am not sure what it does, but I will find out.

Nic,  To be honest, I have never written a macro for Confluence.  I wouldn't even know where to start.  Makes me sound rather amateurish, but I never took the time to hunt down the "how to".

They're not as scary as they sound.  Have a look at https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/writing-user-macros-4485.html for writing them if you want, and then https://confluence.atlassian.com/disc/shared-user-macros is a pile of examples from the community (some are old, and you should always be careful to check they're suitable)

there are multiple solutions, one of them is write a user macro as mentioned by Nic.

Alternatively use following Add-On available on the Atlassian Marketplace:

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/ch.bitvoodoo.confluence.plugins.externallinks/server/overview

These options only work for Confluence Server though.

You could try writing a user macro that would wrap the right html code around a url to pop it.
