How can I add multiple JIRA charts to a Confluence Page?
As soon as I add the second chart, the first is deleted.

Its actually the insertion process that deletes page content.
If you copy and paste an existing chart and then edit it, all is well.

I don't know if that would work, but did you try inserting them in a table cells?

Yes, I've tried putting them in cells in a page layout.
Interestingly, the page layout is also deleted when you add the second chart.
