Migration of pages from one server to another confluence server of same version and build number.

Question

HI All -

We had a schedule of migrating some pages of Confluence server A to server B. I have exported those pages with " Custom export" option and selected the required pages to be migrated.

Then I tried to import them by using "Backup and Restore" option in server B. When i select the zip file to be imported into server B and submit there was an error saying "space key with xxxxx already exist, please delete it before you proceed". Then I tried to delete the Sapce in server B that having the same key exactly as the key of my importing pages' Space.

Here again another error occurred saying "Delete space failed" at 99% of completion of deleting the space. I even restarted the server B after this and searched for the space, however it is not showing in the space directory but it appears in Space permissions window. It redirected me to the space tools of that particular space when  i clicked on it name in Space permission window. There I able to find delete option and tried again deleting but the same situation happened at 99%.

Now I'm unable to delete that Space and not even import that pages that I have exported from server A because whenever i do that it saying "Space with same key exists".

Please help me out from this.

We are unable to use any new plugins as we  are license out dated.

So please suggest any without plugins.

Copy the full tree of your spaces into a new space and export it, and that's it. This plugin can be tested for free for 30 days.

we cannot change the key of a space in Confluence, right?

If you are talking about changing the key name from db means, I already done that too.

At that time the importing operation failed due to bandana unique_key duplication.

I'm help less with that error, I don't know about database things and I'm purely unaware of this type error.
