Manual upgrade of Confluence from 3.3 to current release

s September 17, 2014

Hi

A question on the upgrade path from 3.3 to current release.

From the documentation it says

2.8 to 3.4

Manually upgrade to 3.5.17, and follow paths below.

What do you mean when you say Manually upgrade ?

Can the confluence be upgraded using a built in function for upgrades

OR

Do I have to download the version given and then go through the steps covered in the section Performing the Upgrade from relevant version.

Thanks

You have to upgrade to 3.5.17, then upgrade to 4 and then to 5 smile Manually is that you cant go directly  to latest versionsmile

Manually also means that you need to use the zip/tar.gz installation packet, instead of the installer wizard.

And yes that is true.. But when you have to upgrade this interversion, you dont have any other chance :)
