Howdy! Although the code for the navitabs macro is given in their documentation:

{navitabs:vertical=true|root=Home|includeroot=true|firsttab=Home}Write the actual content of the page here...{navitabs}

They don't give the code possibilities for Local and LocalGroup. Could someone help?

The localtab macro is only available as XHTML macro, cause it uses some features that are not available to wiki macros.

Thanks for the quick response!

But I'm not sure I understand:

Using {localtabgroup:vertical=true|width=300}, for example, works fine.

We've added wiki markup versions of the macro to allow users to use the "insert wiki markup" feature of the Confluence editor. So, wiki markup code will work in places, where the wiki markup is migrated to XHTML before rendering. But it won't work in places where the wiki markup is rendered directly (e.g. in velocity templates).
