Random labels appear to be added to random Confluence pages.
An example .........
We have a space for attendance forms which allows users to create and submit their attendance.
The attendance forms are created from a template and this template uses an add-label macro. In this case, it adds the label attendance-form to the page. This label triggers an ad-hoc workflow to be added to the page.
This all works well, but the attendance-form label has been showing up on other pages outside of the attendance space. I do not believe people have been adding the label, but instead, it has been added by something within Confluence. Either a macro or a database error or something.
Has anyone ever seen this before and if so, do you know what causes it?
While at the moment this is an annoyance, it is becoming increasingly problematic as some labels trigger workflows and in doing so, this creates confusion and doubt within the mind of our Confluence users.
Hi Mick,
Wonder if people are copying pages out of the space and taking the labels with them? Just an idea off the top of my head, but this really sounds like something you might want to raise a support ticket for at http://support.atlassian.com
Thanks,
John
Thanks for the suggestion John.
I am 99% confident that this is NOT what is happening. The people working with these pages that the labels have appeared on are fairly experienced with Confluence and no page copying is going on.
I am happy to hear all theories though ... this one still has me scratching my head :(
