Is there a way to select/sort what is displayed in the macros drop down?

I rarely if ever use the macros that are displayed by default in the macros drop down list and always have to click on "Other Macros". Is there a way to select what gets displayed in the macros drop down list? If there isn't currently a way in the UI, is it possible to modify the server files to accomplish this?

Short answer is yes, but does require work. You can for example, package user macros as a plugin and then add that macro to the list. using the web-item-plugin-module

For the actually listing, you will probably have to hack the server code.

There is this issue CONFSERVER-28832 Note that it has been open for 8 years.
