Is there a way to copy a part of text automatically?

Ömer AYDIN November 14, 2017

Hi,

I write use cases in a format like "Story, Preconditions, Explanation,Post-conditions and Exceptions".

I also copy all the Explanation parts from use cases to another confluence page to trace with tests and jira issues.

When I change the an explanation part at a story I have to change my trace document manually.

I wonder is there a way to copy just the explanation part and paste to my trace document automatically?

Thanks

You can use the Excerpt Macro and Excerpt Include Macro to render one piece of text on another page. Whenever the text changes in the source page, the other page will automatically render the changed text.

If you need to transclude multiple pieces from one page to another or from multiple pages to another, you would need to check out third party macros that support the multi-excerpt feature.
