we are using Confluence 6.13 with Draw.io 9.0.3. Some of our users import PlantUML diagrams into Confluence. It works well enough, nevertheless some of them would like to 'convert' the PlantUML diagram into a 'real' Draw.io diagram that would be easier to update for them.
Today if you create a diagram with the PlantUml functionality, you cannot edit it like a diagram (move the boxes, edit the layout or the text) without generating another PlantUML code.
Is there a way to convert a plantUML diagram to a draw.io diagram ?
Thanks in advance for your help.
At this time draw.io doesn't understand the PlantUML format i.e it is not possible to convert a plantUML to a draw.io diagram. There were discussions about this, but we felt declaring a diagram and drawing a diagram were distinct use cases, so it's not something we're planning.
Thanks for understanding.
Create a Draw.io file with inserted PlanUML textual content and rendered PlantUML SVG.
This does the same as [Draw.io]Arrange>Insert>PlantUML, but from the command line.
bash# plantuml_to_drawio.sh diagram.plantuml.txt > diagram.drawio.xml
