Supposedly, Confluence has support for pasting images (https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-5587) but I can't get this to work for most images.
If I try to paste any image from my local system to Firefox 16, it does nothing, but Firebug console shows an error:
TypeError: J is undefined
if(J.substr(0,L.length)===L){I.dom.remove(H[K]) batch.js (line 1843)
If I use Firefox to copy an image from the web (using copy image) it actually pastes the URL to the image, and that works fine albeit uses the remote web image.
If I try to paste an image I copied via Greenshot to Chrome, it does nothing but the dev console shows:
Not allowed to load local resource: file:///C:/Users/greg/AppData/Local/Temp/4qxsmdr5.hph.png
If I try to paste an image I copied locally, it moves the caret around a bit, but it doesn't paste anything and doesn't show any errors.
Is it possible to make this work with local images?
There's a discussion about Greenshot + Confluence: http://sourceforge.net/projects/greenshot/forums/forum/676083/topic/5181167
There's also a bug open (https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-23325) although I'm not entirely sure I have the same problem since paste is not working for non-greenshot images.
Using Greenshot 1.0.6 + Confluence 5.0.2 works. Note, in the "Expert" tab I have "Device independent bitmap" and "PNG" selected as clipboard formats.

Just wondering, you do have the right to add attachments in that particular space?
