Is it possible to set Confluence to stay at the same position in a page when you press E for edit?

Stephen Clifton November 9, 2014

We often need to edit our pages from within a page, but when we press E for edit, we are taking to the top of the page. We then need to find our way back to the area we wanted to edit. This can be tricky on larger pages. Is there any way to edit from where we are viewing? If not can we make this an enhancement request?

This is a bug. Add your vote here for Confluence Server https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-57520  and here for Confluence Cloud https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-68857 to get the bug being fixed.

You could hit E and then ctrl + F to find the spot you were at. Another option is the InPlace Editor addon. It can do this for you.
