I read in the Confluence documentation that only users with admin rights can develop macros. My question is: Is it possible to give certain users the proper rights to develop macros without giving them full administrative right in confluence? So in other word, only granting users the right to develop their own macros. I work in a large organisation and we don't want to give full admin rights to users that want to develop their own macros. We are looking for a way to ONLY grant them rights to develop macros. Is this possible?
No, it's restricted to admins for good reasons - you can break pages or even spaces with macros. I'd recommend getting them to write in a sandbox, and then your admins can upload ones that have been tested properly.
