I just installed confluence, there's no create button in confluence header

What do I need to do to be able to create anything?

Have you created a space to work in yet?  Do you have add/edit permissions in at least one space?

Brian Herzog September 15, 2016

No, that's the problem, there is no create button to allow me to create a space! I'm the (newbie) admin, so I assume I have all the permissions needed.

Admin rights don't necessarily mean you have Space rights.  But you should have "create space" at least.

Do you have anything under the "spaces" menu?
