Hi, I need help two domian names to access my site.
I have two domain names, such as a.com and b.com, but there is only one server and IP address.
I allow two part people to access, and use different domain names to be connected to the site.
What should I do?
Kindly suggest.
Hi Nicky,
Confluence does not support multiple base URL, you should make sure that all the user access the server from the same URL as explained in https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/configuring-the-server-base-url-148592.html
That being said, if you have a reverse proxy in front of your confluence server that rewrites the requests for both a.com and b.com to be redirected to the same confluence url, you should be able to achieve your goal.
Please check this KB in the section Redirect on the Proxy Level
https://confluence.atlassian.com/confkb/how-to-redirect-confluence-users-to-a-new-url-976758203.html
as this may be a good fit for your needs.
As a single service, Confluence relies on having a single recognisable domain to work in.
Like every other web service, it doesn't care if people come from many domains, just that they have accounts to log in with.
