We have folks that have left the company and they are showing up as watchers of a SPACE. We'd like to remove them and add new users.  How do we do that?

Thank you,

Hi Jesus,

As of Confluence 5.10 you can add/remove space watchers directly in the interface.

For versions before 5.10, it is a little more difficult. I wrote a user macro that you can embed in a page which allows an administrator to remove space watches (and regular watches as well):

https://bitbucket.org/stephendeutsch/confluence-user-macros/src/39c3a025dacc6b45abc0105f0b7a21a7375690b4/bulk%20remove%20watchers/remove%20watches%20for%20user.vm?at=master&fileviewer=file-view-default

When entering, you should set it to viewable only by system administrators (so as not to confuse normal users with an extra macro).

Why do you need to remove them?  Surely you just disable their total User account?

Adding new Watchers is in the hands of the Users - on the home page, or any page, they can click the <<Watch>> icon to select how they watch a space/page
