How do you set the custom html site wide banner via database or REST API?

Chris Mattox March 28, 2024

I am automating a process to set all our Atlassian product "banners".  I have been able to get Jira and Bitbucket to work, but I cannot seem to find the location that Confluence saves this data.  Any help is appreciated.

Hi @Chris Mattox ,

In Confluence there is a different way to put a site banner. You are doing this by adding piece of code / information into Custom Html as described here

https://confluence.atlassian.com/confkb/how-to-add-a-site-wide-banner-165609599.html

The tricky part is that it might be hard to update this not from the UI..

But I think that this might be helpful ...

https://confluence.atlassian.com/confkb/unable-to-use-confluence-upon-adding-some-customizations-in-custom-html-648218529.html

It describe how you can get rid of bad customization but of you would do it in opposite way and put some custom code I guess it should work :)
