How do i display the number of times a string appears on a confluence page? Edited

I have a large page with lists and I need to see how many times specific words appear on this page. Ideally I would have a section titled: # of xyz followed by the number of times it appears.

Can I use this to embed the count on the specific page?

You could use a SQL query similar to the one on the page you linked to calculate the count of the word but you would need to wrap the query in a macro somehow. Please see Davin Studer's answer on Query external database and display results on confluence page
