How do I refer to a person by the job title?

Deleted user August 29, 2019

In some of the Confluence pages I want to be able to just refer to somebody as "Administrative Assistant" for example and not their name, so if the person in this position changes the name displayed would change as well. Is this possible?

Hey Jane,

what do you mean by "refer to" or what do you want to achieve by refering to a position?

Do you want to use @-mentions? Because then it gets tricky as this is only possible for user names. So please provide some more information on the overall use case so we might be able to find a workaround. Right now I don't know why you're not just using "Administrative Assistant" instead of specifying a real person.

On a side note, there's a feature request to be able to mention groups as well (CONFSERVER-23015 - Extend 'Mentions' to work with groups as well).

Best, Max
